Seeing the other crouch down slightly the worried child took a tiny step back, anxious, and scared in a way. She didn’t know this boy and, although he seemed nice, she wasn’t exactly used to others from outwith home talking to her. Then again, she didn’t exactly get out too much either. Skylar’s eyes widened slightly at the mention of him being lost too- they were both in the same situation. Maybe she could trust him.
She sniffed quietly, looking around before looking back again. His optimism was surprising, given the situation. “ It’s Skylar… ”
It was a tad disheartening to see the little girl step away from him however no grudge was held, it was a scary situation after all. Being separated from your family, not aware of any of your surroundings, and no guidance. Something he could relate too. However, Leo tended to take things personally despite knowing that factor.
His lips curl upward; a smile of assurance forming as the young boy nodded his head in response. “It’s nice to meet you, Skylar. Don’t worry. It’ll be okay. We’ll work together to get out of this mess, alright?”
A quiet voice from another, and the young girl turned. She was already confused, worried, and rather lost in all honesty. She didn’t know what had happened, or why she was there at all- It was all a mystery to her, so that question seemed rather odd to her.
“ Where is this? ” she spoke quietly, looking at the other with a small cough. Cameron had always told her not to talk to people outwith the orphanage, but she was alone, and slightly scared. “ I don’t know where I am… ”
Lance slightly crouched down to be at eye level with the girl, something he’d often do with his younger sister. Judging from her confusion she was lost as well, the same predicament as him. No parents or guardians, just two kids lost together. A sigh escaped the young lion’s lips, golden eyes gazing down at brunette.
“I-I don’t either. I’m lost too.” He could try to do something at least, take the initiative and watch over her for a little while. Next, Leo took the optimistic approach with a smile. “Don’t worry! I’m sure we’ll get through this. I’m Lance, what’s your name?”
It was strange. The young lion couldn’t remember where he was or what he did before this moment. Maybe he zoned out? Yeah, probably. After all he had a tendency to overthink things.
Walking around the unfamiliar area, he noticed another girl around his age wandering alone, although she seemed a little more upset by the fact. Tilting his head in curiosity, he gets closer to the young girl, speaking softly.
